Fakta Composed by Brazilian masters Tom Jobim and Billy Blanco and originally released in 1954, "Sinfonia do Rio de Janeiro" came as an early attempt to integrate jazz, classical and pop music forms into a latin soundscape. Lavish string arrangements flow between sweet choral melodies and light and sensitive rhythms. This is some sort of unprecedented hybrid music prior to the rise of Bossa Nova and still far from the explosion of the so called Popular Brazilian Music.
