After more than a decade of near-total silence, Boards of Canada return with Inferno, their long-awaited fifth studio album and first full-length release since Tomorrow’s Harvest (2013). Scheduled for release on May 29, 2026 via Warp Records.

The album’s rollout has been as deliberately elusive as the duo themselves. Beginning in early 2026, fans received mysterious VHS tapes embedded with archival footage and distorted audio, followed by the release of “Tape 05," the duo’s first new recording in 13 years. A haunting yet ethereal piece of music culminating in a beautiful harpe melody signalling one of their most profound and heartbreaking snippets of music from BOC to date.

Spanning seventy minutes, the new album is available on special edition limited red translucent 2LP vinyl in triple gatefold sleeve with a 16-page booklet, black 2LP vinyl and CD with 20-page booklet.
