Mammoth
Mammoth is an American rock band led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Wolfgang Van Halen, son of the legendary Eddie Van Halen. The band blends hard rock, alternative rock, and post-grunge into a sound that’s both powerful and emotionally charged.
On the debut album Mammoth WVH (2021), Wolfgang played all instruments and handled vocals himself, setting the tone for the project’s independent and uncompromising identity. In 2023, he followed up with Mammoth II, an album that expanded the sound with heavier riffs, stronger melodies, and a more confident vocal performance. The name “Mammoth” serves as both a tribute and a new beginning – a nod to the name used by Eddie Van Halen and his brother before forming Van Halen.
With technical skill, presence, and genuine passion, Mammoth has established itself as one of the most exciting modern rock acts today. Their live shows are defined by raw energy, musicianship, and an authenticity that feels both honest and powerful.
