K-pop Demon Hunters – The Group HUNTR/X That Took the World by Storm!
Since the Netflix film K-pop Demon Hunters was released in June 2025, the music from HUNTR/X has taken the world by storm. The film follows the music group HUNTR/X, consisting of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. They balance life as superstars while protecting their fans from supernatural threats as secret demon hunters. The film quickly became a global success and has consistently remained in Netflix’s top ten with over 236 million views.
A large part of the success comes from the soundtrack, which contains nine original songs. HUNTR/X is the first soundtrack to have four songs simultaneously in the Billboard Hot 100 top ten. The song Golden has also been submitted for award consideration.
But is HUNTR/X a real band?
No, unfortunately not. HUNTR/X is a fictional K-pop group created for the film. The characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo. The songs are performed by real-life artists. EJAE sings for Rumi, Audrey Nuna for Mira, and REI AMI for Zoey. The trio has also performed together on several occasions and appeared as presenters at the MTV VMAs.
Who are Rumi, Mira, and Zoey?
Rumi is the group’s leader and front figure, while Mira is known for her style and energy. Zoey has a distinctive smile that makes her easy to recognize. The film also features a charming cat that fans around the world have fallen in love with. The music trio is inspired by popular K-pop groups such as BLACKPINK, ITZY, and TWICE.
